Our vectors group tutoring course focuses on applying the material learnt in the Calculus and Vectors course. This is one of the grade 12 math courses offered in Ontario, Canada, MCV4U. Students will learn about the geometric and algebraic definition of a vector. We start with the geometric idea of a vector. We then look at the algebraic definition of a vector and operations that may be performed with vectors. Examples of vectors in physics in particular force, velocity and acceleration are given. The ideas of the dot product and cross product and its applications and introduced. Vectors, definitions and examples are given in both two and three dimensions. Matrices are also introduced in this course.
We provide a variety of exercises and examples for practice. Videos going through related examples can be found on the Raise My Marks Youtube Channel. Our group tutoring courses are by no means a substitute for the actual curriculum courses. Our aim for all our group tutoring courses is to help the students gain confidence. This is done by working through solved exercises in s a supportive and open environment. The goal is that students will eventually be able to perform on assignments, quizzes, tests and exams more confidently.
Learning outcomes for each lesson
- Each lesson will consist of a set of worksheets related to the topics within that lesson.
- Each lesson is accompanied by a set of videos with worked examples related to some or all of the topics within that lesson.
- A weekly group math coaching time will be available to ask questions, work through challenging exercises together and more.

This group tutoring course represents half of the material found in the Calculus and Vectors course. It is part preparation for a first year university Linear Algebra course, IB math courses and AP math.
