Our overview of grade 9 math course focuses on applying the material learnt at the grade 9 level in Canada and more specifically, Ontario. The material that we go through in this overview is a selection of the material from the following courses offered in Ontario, Canada, MPM1D and MFM1P. We will go over the main concepts from the areas of powers and exponents; rational numbers; linear relations; basics of polynomials; some concepts relating to circles and geometry.
We provide a variety of exercises and examples for practice. This overview is by no means a substitute for the actual grade 9 course, but meant to be a review, refresher or a good solid introduction. Our aim for all our courses is to help the students gain confidence. This is done by working through solved exercises in a supportive and open environment. The goal is that students will eventually be able to perform on assignments, quizzes, tests and exams more confidently.
